Triple-Double from Nikola Jokic Powers Denver Past Los Angeles
Los Angeles Lakers lost 141-103 to Denver Nuggets on Saturday in Game 3 of the Western Conference finals. Nikola Jokic led the way for the Nuggets with a 29-point triple-double.
The Nuggets led by just nine points at halftime, but they pulled away in the third quarter, outscoring the Lakers 35-17. Jokic had 11 points, 10 rebounds, and 10 assists in the third quarter alone.
The Lakers were led by LeBron James, who had 25 points, 9 rebounds, and 7 assists. Anthony Davis added 18 points and 12 rebounds, but it wasn't enough to overcome the Nuggets' dominance inside.
The Lakers now face elimination in Game 4, which will be played on Monday night in Denver. The Nuggets need just one more win to advance to the NBA Finals.
