Mark Duplass, star of the Apple TV+ series "The Morning Show," recently shared his thoughts on who he voted for in the 2024 Emmy Awards for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series.
“It was a Sophie's Choice,” Duplass said at the premiere of his new film, “Somebody I Used to Know,” in Park City, Utah, on Friday, Jan. 20. "I love both Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon so much, and they're both so deserving."
Aniston and Witherspoon are both nominated for their roles as Alex Levy and Bradley Jackson, respectively, on "The Morning Show." The series follows the behind-the-scenes drama at a morning news show, and both Aniston and Witherspoon have received critical acclaim for their performances.
“In the end, I voted for Jennifer because I thought she gave a slightly more nuanced performance,” Duplass said. “But Reese was amazing, too. I really don't think you can go wrong with either one of them."
The 76th Primetime Emmy Awards will be held on Monday, Sept. 18, at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles.
