Tie-Breaking Criteria for Livestreaming Rights
In the event of a tie, the following criteria will be used to determine which network will have the rights to livestream a game:
1. Network with the Highest Viewership
The network with the highest average viewership for WNBA games over the past three seasons will have priority.
2. Network with the Most Local Coverage
The network with the most local coverage of the WNBA team in question will have priority.
3. Network with the Best Production Quality
The network with the best production quality for WNBA games will have priority.
4. Coin Toss
If all else fails, a coin toss will be used to determine which network will have the rights to livestream the game.
Restrictions on Livestreaming
The following restrictions apply to the livestreaming of WNBA games:
- Games cannot be livestreamed in markets where the game is being televised on local broadcast television.
- Games cannot be livestreamed on platforms that are not authorized by the WNBA.
- Games cannot be livestreamed in a manner that violates the WNBA's copyright or trademark rights.
